Purpose: The purpose of this document is to clearly outline the theological foundations upon which JesusFest Ministries is built. We believe that this ministry is an extension of the Kingdom of God, and we are committed to operating under the authority of Scripture and the leading of the Holy Spirit. This document is to help clarify the beliefs to any party connected to or representing this ministry.
The Trinity: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are co-eternal and co-equal.
The Deity of Christ: We believe that Jesus is God, the eternal Word made flesh. We affirm His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, and His seat at the right hand of the Father.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God. It is our “North Star” for both personal conduct and corporate integrity, partnered with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Gifts for Today: We believe the Holy Spirit is the active agent of God on earth today. We affirm that the gifts of the Spirit—including but not limited to prophecy, tongues, miracles, and words of wisdom—are active, available, and necessary for the modern Church and the world.
The Laying on of Hands: We believe in the biblical practice of the laying on of hands as a means of imparting spiritual blessing, commissioning for service, and as a point of contact for the release of God’s power, especially for healing during prayer. It is considered the elementary basics of the Word of God teachings.
God’s Will for Health: We believe that God wants you well. We believe that through the stripes of Jesus, provision was made for the healing of the whole person. We stand on the promise of divine health and believe that God is both able and willing to heal the spirit, soul, and body today — despite what we think, feel, and have experienced (although valid) — we stand on the Word.
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and this brings repentance which brings reconciliation and healing in this life.
Work as Worship: We believe that our work is an act of worship. We strive for excellence in all we do, not for human praise, but to reflect the character of our Creator.
The Great Commission: Our ultimate mission is to be “salt and light” in the world, sharing the Gospel and demonstrating the love of Christ to every person we encounter — through His eyes we see the heart of the broken and contrite spirit, and our lead in love is to speak life over and to others.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
— Colossians 3:23
